Teaching Assistant, Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultural Studies, FREN 122

In the appointment of Teaching Assistant, your general duties and responsibilities will be:

  • Preparing, delivering and attending tutorials as directed by the faculty supervisor;
  • Marking assignments and exams as directed, and conferring with the supervisor in charge as required by the assignment.

Your general location of work will be on campus for leading tutorials/remote for correcting and prep work (in consultation with your supervisor). You will report to Dr. Stella Spriet.

Required Number of Hours: 18 hours per week (exact schedule and breakdown to be determined with supervisor)

Duration of Employment: Winter 2025-26 Term

Start and End Dates: 1 January 2026 – 30 April 2026

Qualifications (Skills and Abilities)

Minimum Bachelor's degree in a related field, proficiency in French, and some teaching or past TA experience preferred.
