TEACHER – GENERAL EDUCATION

Position: Teacher – General Education, Department: Adult Education and Vocational Training.

Location: Laval. Contract: Replacement for 400 hours, February to May 2026, with possibility of renewal.

Salary: $52,799 to $102,857 annually depending on experience and qualifications, per Teachers Collective Agreement. Benefits prorated based on the percentage of the task.

About the Board: Kativik Ilisarniliriniq (KI) is a school board offering educational services in the 14 communities of Nunavik.

Qualifications

Requirements: Teacher’s Certificate/B. Education, preferably with a major in remedial education, andragogy, English – second language, or English – mother tongue.

Board may waive any or all of the above qualification requirements for a beneficiary of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement if the candidate accepts a training plan determined by the Board.

Requirements

• Experience in adult education.
• Experience in literacy teaching.
• Experience in multi‑level classes.
• Experience in teaching English, mathematics, history, geography, biology.
• Experience teaching English as a second language is an asset.
