Job description

If you love transforming student‑athletes into highly motivated and curious learners who are critical thinkers, passionate to make an impact on the lives of people around them locally and globally, with strong values yet open‑minded and reflective, then, we want you!

You will be responsible for the teaching, learning and mentoring of our student‑athletes. You will also be involved in curriculum design, development of pedagogical strategies and assessment plans. This includes:

  • Delivering effective, engaging and well‑paced lessons by adopting a wide range of teaching techniques that are student‑centric and value‑driven
  • Contributing to establishing a conducive learning environment that motivates and empowers student‑athletes
  • Supervising student science experiments and research projects to ensure rigour in inquiry and adherence to safety
  • Contributing to the design of appropriate and varied assessment modes that enhance teaching and learning
  • Monitoring student‑athletes' performance, providing accurate feedback and taking follow‑up actions in a timely manner
  • Contributing to provision of pastoral care and guidance programmes to inculcate values and socio‑emotional competencies in student‑athletes
  • Contributing to creating a supportive culture built on strong rapport and mutual trust with student‑athletes
Requirements
  • Professional teaching qualification, such as the Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the National Institute of Education, or other similar qualifications
  • At least 3 years of teaching experience in pre‑university institution or secondary school
  • Experience in preparing students for the International Baccalaureate Diploma, GCE A‑level or O‑level
  • An undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline is required; and the ability to constantly learn and inspire the love for learning and life, is essential.
