A local accounting firm located in Ontario is seeking a full-time Tax Preparer for a 4-month contract. The role involves preparing tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring accuracy in documentation, and working with clients to address their concerns. Applicants should have a minimum of 3-5 years of tax preparation experience and be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. Knowledge of SAGE and QuickBooks is an asset.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years tax preparation experience.
  • Valid Access to CRA and ability to work on their platform.
  • Experience in completing rental properties and small business is mandatory.
  • Knowledge and experience with asset dispositions including share dispositions.
  • Experience in SAGE and QuickBooks would be an asset.

Our firm provides bookkeeping, accounting, corporate and personal tax preparation and planning. We provide payroll services and estate planning as well.

Read’s Accounting is seeking a full-time 4-month contract Tax Preparer to join their team.

Job Duties:
  • Meet with clients to verify documentation, address questions or concerns, and acquire information to prepare tax returns for individuals or businesses.
  • Prepare tax returns, ensuring all documentation and data entry is completed accurately.
  • Create invoices to bill for services provided depending on complexity and time spent.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3-5 years tax preparation experience.
  • Valid Access to CRA and the ability to work on their platform
  • Experience in completing rental properties, and small business is mandatory
  • Knowledge and experience with asset dispositions including share dispositions, rental properties and cottages
  • Experience in SAGE and QuickBooks would be an asset
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Additional Information:
  • Salary range: $25/hour depending on experience.
  • Job Type: Full-time, 4 month contract (with possibility of extension)
