Our Commitment to You

This is more than just a job — it’s an opportunity to grow with a brewery that is deeply invested in its people.

  • Direct access to our leadership team. Your voice matters here.
  • Real influence. You can help shape the brand in real time. We’re a family-owned business, not a corporate international chain.
  • Professional growth. Develop and expand your skill set with the largest craft brewery in Newfoundland and Labrador.
  • A role built for impact. This is a brand-new position and is critical to our growth as we take the Quidi Vidi Brewery taproom to the next level.

We are looking for the right fit — someone hardworking, committed, and passionate about hospitality. This is an extremely busy and demanding role at the busiest taproom in Atlantic Canada. We need someone who truly cares about their team, leads by example, and shows up every day ready to make things better.

We’re proud to be Newfoundland and Labrador’s largest craft brewery. We’ve been brewing Newfoundland’s beer for 30 years, long before “craft beer” was a buzzword. From day one, we’ve led the way by experimenting, pushing boundaries, and taking inspiration from the place, we call home. Rooted in community, our success has always come from connection - through the festivals, events, and local groups that make this province what it is.

Now we’re looking for someone to continue strengthening those connections, by amplifying our community presence, showcasing our proud Newfoundland brand, and creating memorable experiences along the way.

The Role

The Assistant General Manager reports directly to the General Manager and plays a key role in day-to-day operations, leadership, and planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hiring & Coaching: Lead recruitment, interviews, onboarding, and ongoing staff development.
  • Guest Experience: Champion exceptional hospitality and ensure consistent service standards.
  • Floor Operations Support: Maintain smooth shifts and support the team during high-volume service.
  • Labour Forecasting & Reporting: Manage scheduling strategy and labour analysis.
  • Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Assist with planning and monitor sales trends.
  • Inventory Management: Support stock counts, ordering, and variance reporting.
  • POS & payment systems: Ensure POS and payment systems operate efficiently.
  • Payroll Support: Assist with payroll preparation and accuracy.
  • Administrative & Paperwork Duties: Ensure operational documentation is completed accurately and on time.

If you want a leadership role where your work matters, your ideas are heard, and your growth is supported — this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.
