Responsibilities

• Deliver ALC’s liquid and gaseous products by tanker truck following guidelines and regulations.
• Perform pre-departure inspection and report issues.
• Review route conditions and customer requirements.
• Ensure proper loading and securement of cargo.
• Unload product at customer site into their tank per procedures.
• Provide delivery slips and enter information into barcode system.
• Ensure all records and forms are completed accurately.

Airgas/Air Liquide is hiring a Tank Truck Driver with an annual salary of $95,000 and up and 4-day workweek. The position offers a very attractive pension plan.

Job Summary

The primary responsibility of this position is to supply customers by delivering ALC’s liquid and gaseous products via tanker truck in accordance with ALC’s guidelines and procedures, using the appropriate equipment, complying with transportation laws and regulations, and ensuring that ALC’s safety and quality objectives are upheld.

• Obtains the route sheet and ensures it contains all necessary information.
• Gathers all documentation and equipment required for the route.
• Conducts a pre-departure inspection of the equipment, records any issues that need to be corrected in the inspection report, and notifies the maintenance coordinator and repair technician.
• Reviews road conditions and customer requirements.
• Ensures the truck is loaded in accordance with procedures and regulations.
• Upon arrival at the delivery point, checks the condition of the equipment and the customer’s facility.
• Records any anomalies observed on-site and submits them to their supervisor at the end of the route, or contacts the repair technician for any delivery non-conformities.
• Unloads the product into the customer’s tank according to established procedures.
• Provides accurate delivery slips for all ALC products sold to customers to ensure correct billing.
• Enters all relevant information into the barcode system.
• Ensures that all forms and records for which they are responsible are properly completed.

Required Qualifications

• You hold a Class 1 truck driving license.
• You have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Class 1 driver.
• You make safety your top priority.
• You have a clean driving record.
• You are very conscientious and attentive on the road.
• 1 year of experience driving a tanker truck (major asset).
