Job Description

The Talent Acquisition Specialist, Aircraft Maintenance, is responsible for overseeing aircraft maintenance recruitment, selection functions, and job placement. This position ensures all aircraft maintenance technicians align with our company culture and possess the necessary skills to perform their duties. The Specialist should be a self-starter, dynamic, and comfortable executing recruitment strategies. This position reports directly to the Director of Global Talent Acquisition.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with Global Maintenance leaders on talent acquisition plans based on staffing levels, aircraft delivery schedules, etc.
  • Execute recruitment and sourcing activities, including direct sourcing, job fairs, schools, trade and industry networking, advertisements, internet posting, social media, active resume database searches, employment agencies, employee referrals, and outreach to appropriate organizations.
  • Manage talent acquisition efforts from sourcing, screening, testing, to offer acceptance for all maintenance technician positions.
  • Coordinate, plan, and attend recruitment events, socials, expos, and career fairs as needed.
  • Pre-screen potential candidates for program and company fit, salary expectations, eligibility, etc., and present suitable candidates to Maintenance leaders for review.
  • Schedule panel interviews with Maintenance leaders and/or General Managers, coordinate travel, conduct interviews, and evaluate applicants.
  • Coordinate technical interview aspects with the appropriate General Manager and/or Chief Inspector.
  • Enter, track, and update all candidate correspondence in our applicant tracking system, ClearCompany, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Establish and maintain recruitment metrics, including time to fill, offers accepted, resumes screened, phone screens completed, and interviews conducted.
  • Assist with recruitment across various company functions as directed by the Director, Talent Acquisition.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • 1-2 years of experience recruiting Aircraft Maintenance Technicians in the aviation industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline; 3-5 years of recruitment experience, preferably with an aviation background.
  • Experience with executing recruitment strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and industry-specific aircraft, including recognition, performance, and specifications.
  • Proven success in sourcing and placing candidates in technical fields.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal/written communication, presentation, organizational, and evaluative skills to build rapport across all levels.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with applicant tracking systems like ClearCompany is a plus.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms for recruitment and job promotion.
  • Industry-specific aviation knowledge, including hiring standards and jargon.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment, self-motivate, handle multiple tasks, meet targets, and adhere to critical milestones.
  • Strong ethics, integrity, flexibility, and professionalism.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%.
