Qualifications

• Be Authorized to work in Canada.
• Completion of a Police Foundations or Law & Security program strongly preferred.
• Experience in a professional security environment.
• Knowledge of Criminal Code and Trespass to Property Act enforcement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
• Strong documentation and report‑writing abilities.
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for the duration of your shift.
• Computer proficiency (MS Office, Google Suite).
• Self‑defence, powers of arrest, or EMR training is considered a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Proactively patrolling high‑traffic areas by foot, bike, or vehicle.
• Responding to incidents and emergencies quickly and effectively.
• Enforcing the Criminal Code, Trespass to Property Act, and site‑specific regulations.
• Observing and reporting suspicious behaviour or safety hazards.
• Assisting in emergency response and supporting on‑site evacuations.
• Conducting site checks, verifying identity, and managing access points.
• Writing detailed incident reports and maintaining accurate records.
• Supporting community engagement efforts to promote safety and awareness.
• Collaborating with local law enforcement when required.

Responsibilities for Tactical Security Guard

As a Tactical Security Guard assigned to a sensitive educational environment, you’ll be a key player in maintaining a safe and secure atmosphere for staff, students, and visitors.
Duties include:

• Proactively patrolling high‑traffic areas by foot, bike, or vehicle
