Job summary

Thales Canada is seeking a Tactical Purchasing Manager / Supply Responsible to manage short- and mid-term purchases for Thales Canada Avionique and Thales Digital Solutions. You will operate independently within scope, ensuring responsiveness and efficiency in a dynamic environment.

This role requires a high level of autonomy and rigor to organize work and comply with Thales processes and legal rules. You will interact with procurement teams, internal clients, and suppliers, maintaining ERP data

Qualifications

• Fluent in French and English (spoken and written).
• Strong purchasing and supply knowledge with supplier selection criteria.
• Ability to evaluate, select and maintain supplier relationships.
• Supply chain management skills including coordination with internal teams.
• Analytical/problem-solving skills (PDCA).
• Proficient with SAP, Power BI, SharePoint, and Excel.
• Negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organization and prioritization; able to handle multiple requests.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic and continuous improvement in the tactical buyer role.
• Engage in Noram and Group Purchasing activities.
• Support upstream procurement; validate purchase requests for compliance.
• Transform PR to PO by validating supplier, contract, quotations; assist in analyses.
• Create and transmit POs; ensure data validity and attach documents.
• Manage POs: acknowledge receipt, track delivery, update ERP.
• Support finance in settling invoices and resolve billing disputes.
• Monitor KPIs and propose corrective actions within scope.
• Update supplier data with Process & Tools teams; maintain ERP data integrity.
• Support sales, program, and purchasing teams in organizing missions.
