Job summary

KITS is seeking a Systems and Network Support Engineer to manage IT infrastructure across our Optical Lab, Fulfillment Centre, Retail Stores, and offices in North America. You will oversee system administration, network management, and IT support to ensure reliability, security, and scalability of technology across the business.

• Ability to work both independently on defined tasks and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in IT security and compliance best practices.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted tools and workflows.

Responsibilities

• System & Network Administration: Manage wired/wireless networks, VLANs, VPNs, and firewalls; deploy and maintain Windows, macOS and Linux servers (on-prem and cloud); oversee asset management.
• IT Support & Help Desk: primary contact for troubleshooting IT issues across warehouse, retail stores, and offices; support desktops and applications.
• Support IT Planning & Scalability: assist with infrastructure planning, document IT processes, and coordinate cross-functional day-to-day operations.

Summary:

KITS is seeking a Systems and Network Support Engineer to manage and maintain IT infrastructure across our Optical Lab, Fulfillment Centre, Retail Stores, and office locations. In this role, you will oversee system administration, network management, and IT support while ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of our technology infrastructure. You will also provide technical support to various teams, escalating questions and decisions to the broader IT team as needed.

Responsibilities:

System & Network Administration

• Manage and maintain wired and wireless networks, VLANs, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Deploy, administer, and maintain Windows, macOS and Linux servers (on-premise and on cloud).
• Oversee hardware and software provisioning, upgrades, and asset management.
• Assist with system monitoring, security checks, and regular performance optimizations.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

IT Support & Help Desk

• Act as the primary contact for troubleshooting and resolving IT issues across warehouse, retail store, and office locations.
• Provide technical support for desktops, applications (Windows, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Google Workspace, etc.), and specialized software.
• Manage user accounts, access control, and password administration.
• Support new hire IT setup, including account provisioning and device configuration.

Support IT Planning & Scalability

• Assist with IT infrastructure planning and contribute to scalability initiatives.
• Develop and document IT processes, best practices, and training materials.
• Coordinate with various teams to ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations across departments.

Key Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in IT systems and network support.
• Strong experience with systems administration, networking, and IT support in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Ocuco and Innovations Lab Software would be considered an asset.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Compensation:

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $63,700 - $91,000. Final compensation will depend on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and qualifications.

• Competitive compensation package. This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.
