Job summary

Job description

We're looking for a Systems Engineering Analyst to help shape the evolution of the Land Command Support System (LCSS) network the system enables command control and communication across Canadas Army this role youll contribute to key architectural and design decisions by collaborating closely with DND and program teams. You will identify gaps and areas of potential improvement within existing capabilities to support the end user. Using these insights you will provide support and guidance on both development and testing to engineering teams. Ideally you will have experience in one of the following ; RF communication and radio data characterizationethernet communication networking VLAN s Internet Protocol (IP).

What Youll Do
  • Provide system and product level design and support
  • Document system and subsystem requirements specifications interface control documents design documents and use cases.
  • Manage System Problem Reports (SPRs) and Observations by providing proper upfront analysis and input to support bug fixes as well as seeing the proper close out of each SPR.
  • Provide guidance and support to the development teams for the implementation and revision of capabilities within LCSS
  • Support integration and test activities including reviewing test cases analyzing results and helping resolve discrepancies.
  • Participate in meetings and reviews with both internal teams and external stakeholders presenting insights and recommendations.
  • Take ownership of deliverables and contribute to meeting key program milestones and commitments.
Qualifications :
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent in Engineering Computer Science or applicable scientific discipline is required.
  • 2years System Engineering or Systems Architecture experience
  • Experience with Ethernet communication networking VLAN s Internet Protocol (IP)
  • Experience with RF communication and radio data characterization
  • Preferred working knowledge of systems engineering tools including DOORS (Preferred DOORS Next Generation) Rational Team Concert (RTC) and UML / SysML
  • Knowledge of the System development process and lifecycles.
  • Knowledge of the Requirements definition and management.
  • Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills.
  • Enthusiastic contributor willingness to learn new skills and takes on ownership of work.
