Clio is seeking a Systems Engineer, Azure Infrastructure to join our Systems Engineering teams. This role supports production infrastructure across multiple regions and offers hybrid work with in-office twice weekly for Toronto-based team members.

Remote options are available for Eastern Canada, with local offices open for visits. You will build automation, deploy and secure Kubernetes clusters, and collaborate with product and engineering teams to scale infrastructure powering Clio's products

Qualifications

• Experience building highly available, multi-region production infrastructure.
• Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable code to create tools and services for scalable infrastructure.
• Experience deploying, securing, and scaling Kubernetes clusters with automation and observability.
• Experience administering cloud resources on Azure using IaC tools.

Clio is the global leader in legal AI technology, empowering legal professionals and law firms of every size to work smarter, faster, and more securely.

We are currently seeking a Systems Engineer, Azure Infrastructure to join our Systems Engineering teams.

This role is available to candidates in EST/AST time zones, excluding Quebec. If you are local to our Toronto hub, then you will be expected to be in office twice per week on days of your choice. If you are not local to our hubs, then you may work remotely in Eastern Canada, but our offices are open to you if you would like to visit.

What your team does:

In support of our expansion of Clio Operate (formerly ShareDo) in more markets, we are adding more members to our North American team to support Clio Operate infrastructure across the globe.

We are on a mission to transform the legal experience for all, and our engineering team’s goal is to deliver an incredible experience to our customers. To enable that experience, our Systems Engineering teams strive to build performant, reliable, and scalable infrastructure to support Clio SMB and enterprise customers, as well as empower our engineering teams to do their best work.

What you'll do:

• Build tools and automate processes to support Clio’s production infrastructure
• Collaborate with engineering teams to solve cross-disciplinary architectural scaling challenges
• Partner with product feature teams to define requirements and implement the infrastructure to power new product launches
• Share knowledge across the department to level up our understanding and improve our processes

What you may have:

• Experience building and supporting highly available, multi-region production infrastructure
• Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable, and collaborative code to create tools, services, and systems that support scalable infrastructure
• Experience deploying, securing, and scaling Kubernetes clusters servicing production workloads, strongly emphasizing automation and observability
• Experience administering and optimizing cloud resources on standard cloud providers (preferably Azure) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
• An interest in improving your craft by using AI
• You have strong opinions that are loosely held, and foster that same attitude in others
• Open-mindedness and low ego
• Growth mindset when it comes to process improvement and new technologies, especially AI.

Bonus points if you have experience with:

• C# or another Object Oriented language
• Azure resources with Terraform or Pulumi
• AKS clusters in production
• Azure CLI or PowerShell
• Windows and/or Linux hosts
• Building observability dashboards and monitoring with tools like DataDog
• SQL Server, Azure SQL, or ElasticSearch

The expected salary range for this role is $119,000 to $161,000 CAD. Initial placement within the range is informed by geographic region, experience, and skillset, with room to progress as impact and tenure grow. Final offer amounts will vary based on candidate profile.
