Egis Canada is seeking a seasoned Senior Systems Assurance professional to lead RAMS, cyber security and safety efforts across rail projects. You will guide teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive safety-case development in line with EN standards and CMREA Canada methodologies.

The role requires deep rail domain knowledge, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate across multiple disciplines in a Canadian context.

Formación

• Master’s or higher in electrical/mechanical engineering preferred.
• 10+ years in systems assurance within rail.
• Knowledge of rail operation and signaling systems.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement Systems Assurance in Safety, Security, Cyber security, Physical Security, TRAM and Fire Life Safety.
• Lead team to ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
• Identify and oversee safety and security requirements implementation.
• Lead safety assurance analyses and management plans.
• Support delivery assurance and provide reporting for strategic decisions.
• Ensure documentation readiness for safety gates.
• Attend safety reviews and coordinate with Independent Safety Assessor to close issues.
• Lead production of project documentation, safety and RAM requirements.
• Develop the Safety Case and risk assessments; propose mitigations.
• Establish hazard log processes and ensure regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Bechelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline (electrical, mechanical, transportation or similar)
• Professional engineering designation or in process of obtaining
• Minimum 8 + years of previous experience in railway industry in area of RAMS, cyber security, physical security, Fire Life Safety

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Systems Assurance in area of Safety Assurance, Security, Cyber security, Physical Security, TRAM and Fire Life Safety
• Lead team to ensure compliance with the applicable standards and regulations
• Identify and oversee the implementation of the safety, security related requirements
• Lead and review System Safety Assurance analysis and management plans
• Support the delivery assurance lead in strategic decision making and assurance reporting
• Ensure documentation completeness in preparation for safety gates
• Attending safety review meeting and coordinating with Independent Safety Assessor to achieve closure of the open issues
• Lead and produce project documentation, plans and safety and RAM requirements
• Develop the Safety Case
• Development of Treat and Vulnerability Reports and propose mitigation
• Establish process and procedures for Hazard Log Management
• Perform safety assurance analysis
• Ensure compliance with CENELEC standards (EN50126, EN50128, EN50129, EN50159) and CMREA Canadian Method for Risk Evaluation and Assessment for Rail Systems, NIST

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in electrical, mechanical or similar preferred
• 10+ years of experience in systems assurance, cyber security, safety, security. Fire Life Safety, Human Factor Analysis or RAM within rail transportation industry and complex project execution
• Knowledge of the rail operation and signaling systems
• Understanding of safety related standards
• Strong leadership skills. mentoring and managing teams
• Analytical skills
• Good communication skills
