We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented IT Systems Analyst with deep experience in server and infrastructure administration, database management, cybersecurity operations, and IT governance. This role is responsible for maintaining secure, scalable, and high-performing systems both on-premises and in cloud environments. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across IT disciplines to strengthen operational resilience, support compliance efforts, and improve security posture across enterprise systems.

Server & Infrastructure Administration
  • Maintain and optimize on-premise and cloud-based servers (Windows Server, Azure).
  • Manage core infrastructure services: Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file/print services.
  • Perform patch management and vulnerability remediation across all server systems.
  • Monitor system performance, uptime, and capacity; plan for scaling, redundancy, and high availability.
  • Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies
Database Management
  • Administer Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL environments.
  • Oversee database installation, upgrades, tuning, and security configurations.
  • Manage database backups, restores, and replication processes.
  • Collaborate with development and analytics teams to ensure secure data access and optimal performance.
  • Develop scripts and automation for database maintenance, patching, and data integrity checks.
Cybersecurity Operations
  • Monitor and respond to alerts from EDR/MDR platforms (e.g., Arctic Wolf, Defender for Endpoint).
  • Perform threat hunting, log analysis, and incident triage to support proactive threat detection.
  • Apply and maintain security baselines for servers, databases, and cloud environments.
  • Coordinate vulnerability management and patching cycles.
  • Manage user and privileged access controls, including Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) enforcement.
  • Support compliance audits (ISO 27001, SOC 2, CSOX, GDPR) by providing system-level evidence and documentation.
  • Develop and maintain SIEM dashboards, IDS/IPS configurations, and alerting rules.
  • Complete customer-facing cybersecurity questionnaires and support vendor security reviews.
Governance & Process
  • Maintain infrastructure documentation, configuration records, and change logs.
  • Participate in tabletop exercises and incident response simulations.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and standards related to system hardening, patch management, and data protection.
  • Collaborate with security, compliance, and risk teams on cyber risk management and audit readiness.
Required
  • 3–5+ years of experience in server and database administration in enterprise or mid-sized environments.
  • Proficient in Windows Server environments and cloud platforms such as Azure.
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure services: Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL, including scripting and performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Experience working with EDR/MDR, vulnerability management, and access control tools.
  • Exposure to compliance standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2, CSOX, GDPR) and audit preparation.
  • Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, VMware VCP, Certified Ethical Hacker).
Soft Skills
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to assess complex systems and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Problem-Solving: Skilled in resolving issues quickly and effectively under pressure.
  • Communication: Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Collaboration: Able to work effectively across departments and with external stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments.
  • Attention to Detail: Thorough in documentation, configuration, and process execution.
