Job summary

FYihealth group is seeking a System Administrator III, Enterprise Infrastructure, based at the Delta, BC home office. You will oversee enterprise systems deployment, maintain uptime, and enforce IT best practices while coaching junior team members.

Responsibilities include design and support of Azure infrastructure, identity and security management, and enterprise platforms. The role entails leading delivery projects, documenting standards, and contributing to on-call support as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an Associate’s with extensive experience
• 5–7 years of system administration or related fields with leadership and project management experience
• Advanced system and network security practices
• Automation and configuration management tools such as PowerShell and Terraform
• Disaster recovery and business continuity planning knowledge
• Coaching, mentoring, strategic planning and project management experience
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills; adaptable in fast-paced environments
• Advanced certifications such as CISSP or cloud certifications are assets
• Bilingual English/French is an asset

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support Microsoft Azure infrastructure and cloud services
• Manage compute, networking, storage, backup, DR, monitoring, and governance platforms
• Develop automation using PowerShell, Azure Automation, and IaC
• Administer Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, SSO, RBAC and identity governance
• Support privileged access management and access reviews
• Troubleshoot authentication, federation and access-related issues
• Partner with security teams to implement secure and compliant solutions
• Support Microsoft Fabric and enterprise data platform services
• Administer Microsoft 365 environments and monitor platform health
• Lead infrastructure projects from planning through implementation and handoff
• Create and maintain technical documentation, standards and procedures
• Mentor junior admins and provide technical leadership
• Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours support
• Perform other duties to support team goals

Join our team as a System Administrator III, Enterprise Infrastructure! In this role you’ll oversee the timely and budget-conscious deployment of enterprise systems and software platforms. Maintain a high system uptime rate through proactive maintenance and effective incident response. Establish and enforce a set of IT best practices to reduce recurring IT issues improving response times and coach junior team members. This role is based at our Home Office, located in Delta BC.

What You'll Do

Cloud & Infrastructure

• Design, implement, and support Microsoft Azure infrastructure and cloud services
• Manage compute, networking, storage, backup, disaster recovery, monitoring, and governance platforms
• Develop automation using PowerShell, Azure Automation, and Infrastructure as Code

Identity & Security

• Administer Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, SSO, RBAC, and identity governance
• Support privileged access management, identity lifecycle processes, and access reviews
• Troubleshoot complex authentication, federation, and access-related issues
• Partner with security teams to implement secure and compliant solutions

Enterprise Platforms

• Support Microsoft Fabric and other enterprise data platform services
• Administer enterprise server, virtualization, storage, backup, and Microsoft 365 environments
• Monitor platform health, performance, capacity, and availability
• Recommend and implement improvements that enhance reliability, security, and operational efficiency

Infrastructure Delivery & Operations

• Lead infrastructure projects from planning through implementation and operational handoff
• Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operating procedures
• Mentor junior administrators and provide technical leadership across the team
• Participate in an on-call rotation and provide occasional after-hours support as required
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and organizational goals

What You Bring

• A Bachelor’s degree in a related field, an Associate’s degree with extensive experience and advanced certifications
• 5-7 years of experience in system administration or related fields, with evidence of technical leadership, project management, and advanced troubleshooting skills
• Advanced system and network security practices
• Expertise in automation and configuration management tools (e.g., Powershell, Teraform)
• Deep understanding of disaster recovery and business continuity planning
• Experience with coaching, mentoring, strategic planning and project management
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a level of high adaptability and composure in dynamic and fast-paced environments
• Advanced certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), cloud-specific certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are considered an asset
• Demonstrates curiosity, adaptability, and responsible use of emerging technologies, including AI, to improve effectiveness and decision-making
• Flexibility to work after hours as required
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• A collaborative, adaptable, and proactive team player with a growth mindset, able to manage changing priorities effectively
• Bilingualism English/French is considered an asset
