What You’ll Do

As our new System Administrator, Service Management Office (SMO), you will play a critical role in the day-to-day operational support, stability, and governance of the ServiceNow platform. This role sits within Information Technology and serves as the technical backbone of the SMO delivery model, transitioning platform ownership from external vendors to internal capability. You will ensure platform health, security, and compliance while enabling scalable enhancements and continuous improvement across the enterprise ServiceNow environment.

  • Manage user accounts, access controls, roles, ACLs (Access Control Lists), and data security in line with governance standards.
  • Own patching cycles, platform upgrades, and environment configuration across development, test, and production instances.
  • Implement and govern configuration changes, ensuring adherence to change management, CAB (Change Advisory Board), and documentation standards.
  • Maintain and enforce platform standards, including scripting, form design, workflows, and business rules.
  • Support the SMO sustainment backlog, resolving incidents and fulfilling administration requests, including foundational data changes and minor enhancements.
  • Participate in design reviews and architecture discussions to ensure alignment with platform governance and long‑term scalability.
  • Monitor and continuously improve platform reliability and sustainment processes, reducing incidents and improving delivery timelines.
What You’ll Bring
  • 3+ years of hands‑on experience administering ServiceNow in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of ITSM (IT Service Management), ITIL frameworks, and CMDB (Configuration Management Database) structures.
  • Proficiency with ServiceNow platform components, including Flow Designer, Studio, Update Sets, ACLs, and scripting.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform root‑cause analysis and resolve complex platform and configuration issues.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills in a fast‑paced environment.
  • ServiceNow System Administrator Certification strongly preferred; ITIL Foundation certification an advantage.
Who you are
  • Strong collaboration, teamwork and relationship building skills across multiple levels and functions in an organization.
  • Ability to operate at both a strategic and executional level; ideate and directly execute.
  • Drive growth & outcomes; activate complex work, enlist others effectively, anticipate and remove roadblocks. Move at pace.
  • Have a positive, proactive ‘can do’ attitude and an ambitiously curious mindset to be the best in your craft.
  • Promote ideas & curiosity; adding to your expertise, effectively articulates change, offers ideas and solutions.
