We’re growing!! And looking for passionate, driven and energetic candidates to join our team for the position of System Administrator located in our Head Office in Guelph, Ontario.

Job Description

Are you passionate about managing a broad range of IT related tasks and projects to reach a shared goal of profitable operation through increased efficiency? As a System Administrator, you would maintain Skyline’s technology infrastructure and investigate and diagnose related problems, make recommendations for improving the company's IT systems and carry out routine configuration and installations of IT solutions to reach Skyline’s shared goal of creating meaningful value and an exceptional experience for our customers, our people and our communities.

What will you be doing
  • Maintain company Linux, Microsoft and VMware servers, networks, and enterprise infrastructure supporting all equipment at regional offices and remote locations.
  • Maintain Mobile Device Management Server and associate mobile devices.
  • Administrate Office 365 applications including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams
  • Deploy, manage, and monitor cloud-based solutions and services with the Azure ecosystem
  • Work to define technical solutions including requirements, technologies, and configurations.
  • Lead projects from inception to completion including working with business stakeholders, vendors, and other IT disciplines.
  • Source, purchase, and maintain all computer equipment including maintaining an inventory list.
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot TCP/IP networks including routers, switches, wireless access points (WAPs), and other networking equipment.
  • Provide technical support to internal and external users.
  • Organize group training and/or technical support documents, as necessary.
  • Provide reports of system usage at a network, business and user level as required.
What we look for
  • Expertise in Microsoft technologies and problem-solving company needs.
  • Demonstrate experience in implementing, monitoring, and maintaining Microsoft Azure solutions
  • Understanding and experience in ITIL framework including Incident, Change and Asset Management.
  • Patience, patience, patience! And a sense of humour that goes a long way to make our internal customers feel more comfortable with technology.
  • A technical guru with experience in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting TCP/IP networks, including routers, switches, WAPs, and other networking equipment.
  • You love and have experience working with servers, virtualization, operating systems, and storage area networks.
  • A perfectionist when it comes to maintaining procedures (SOPs) for a variety of areas including server and network use, problematic user issues, back-up procedures, etc.
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years post-secondary education and 2 years relevant workplace experience OR equivalent combination of education and workplace experience.
