Job description

Position Summary

Northern Health is looking for an experienced, highly efficient, and self‑directed Switchboard / Health Records Clerk to support the Health Information department.

Under the general supervision of the HIM Coordinator, the Switchboard / Health Records Clerk performs clerical duties related to creating and maintaining patient records, record retrieval, assembly, quantitative analysis, release of information, and related duties for admission, discharge and registration of patients. The role also includes answering phones, taking messages, transferring calls, faxing reports, and restocking supplies.

Medical terminology and typing 45 wpm required. Must be available to work days and evening shifts.
