Job summary

Sideworx Connect in Grande Prairie, AB, seeks experienced Hydrovac Swampers to support hydrovac operators with setup, hose handling, and excavation safety on oil and gas projects. LOA available for select projects and a flexible contract schedule. Ideal candidates have 2+ years hydrovac or vac truck swamping experience, safety certifications, a valid Class 5 license, and must pass drug screening. You’ll work on rugged outdoor sites with rotating shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hydrovac or vac truck swamping experience (required).
• Standard First Aid & CPR – Level C.
• H2S Alive and Common Safety Orientation.
• Confined Space Entry & Monitor certification.
• Ground Disturbance and WHMIS (can complete in-house).
• Valid Class 5 license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
• Must be clean‑shaven for respirator use.

This role supports hydrovac operators with setup, hose handling, excavation safety, and job site cleanup. Some projects qualify for Living Out Allowance. The position is ideal for safety-trained individuals with hands‑on vac truck experience and a flexible schedule.
