Position Summary: The Faculty of Social Work at the University of Regina invites applications for one Sessional Lecturer to teach the following remote delivery via Zoom course during the Winter 2026 semester:
SW 405 Social Work with Indigenous Peoples
This course investigates theory and practices for social workers to support Indigenous individuals, families and communities in a variety of settings. The course explores the history of oppression experienced by Indigenous peoples by government policies. Emphasis is placed on individual self determination, cultural safety, Indigenous self-governance and societal decolonization.
The semester class period is from January 6, 2026 to April 13, 2026 with the final exam period running from April 16 to 29, 2025.
Sessional Lecturers that are teaching in person classes are expected to teach 13 synchronous classes throughout the semester remote delivery via Zoom.

Delivery method, days and times are subject to change. The Sessional Lecturer is expected to teach on campus in-person in Saskatoon (synchronous) for each of the 13 lectures, be in the classroom 10-15 minutes before each class starts, as well as offer regular office hours for their students each week.
