Meaningful work you'll be part of

As a Senior Associate, you'll help clients navigate critical sustainability issues during acquisitions and divestitures. This isn't about ticking boxes, it's about providing tangible, value-driven advice that shapes the future of businesses. You will play a pivotal role in executing sustainability due diligence and advising clients on integrating sustainability considerations into their investment lifecycle.

You will work as a core member of the deal team to:

  • Uncover v alue for s ellers: Help companies articulate the sustainability value inherent in their business, strengthening their investment case for a sale , carve-out, or divestiture.
  • Assess r isk s & o pportunit ies for b uyers Conduct sustainability due diligence to identify material factors that could add or erode deal value, quantify their impact, and help develop a practical , commercially grounded plan to position the buyer for success post-close.
  • Advise on s trategy and value creation : Go beyond traditional due diligence to advise investors on post-acquisition ESG integration, strategy, and performance improvement.

Experiences and skills you'll use to solve

We're looking for a unique blend of analytical rigor , commercial acumen , and a genuine passion for sustainability . You are a creative problem-solver, comfortable navigating ambiguity and finding solutions with imperfect information.

You will have:

  • Three to five years of relevant professional experience in a field such as management consulting, corporate finance , M&A/transactions , private equity or other invest ment role .
  • A strong understanding of sustainability topics (climate change, greenhouse gas emissions , etc.) and standards (SASB, TCFD, etc.) , and the ability to apply them in a commercial context . P rofessional experience in a sustainability -related role is a strong asse t .
  • A n a bility to connect the dots between sustainability topics and a company's core financial and operational drivers. You have strong data analysis skills, with a proven ability to research and use large, disparate, or incomplete datasets data to generate insights and build a compelling narrative that support s decision-making.
  • A n affinity for synthesiz ing large or unstructured information, perform ing both qualitative and quantitative analysis, and connect ing this to financial value.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and report-writing skills, with the ability to distill complex topics into clear, impactful advice. You excel at managing multiple senior stakeholders, building consensus among diverse viewpoints, and working effectively to tight deadlines.
  • The position requires flexibility to travel to local clients as needed and occasional travel within Canada.

PwC BC Region Pay Range Information

The salary range* for this position is $ 58 400,00 - 97 500,00 $, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual bonus payment. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon your skills, experience, qualifications and geographic location .

* Please note that the salary range for this position is reflected for our British Columbia region . Given our national recruiting approach, we recruit (and may hire) in other regions and therefore the salary range may differ depending on the work location .
