Sushi California is seeking F/T Restaurant Cooks (Japanese Sushi Cooks)

• Position: Restaurant Cook (Japanese Sushi Cook)
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $17.62~$19.00/hour
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions: 3
• 4% vacation pay
• Free meals at work and tips

Job Duties:

• Prepare, cook, and serve complete meals according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking, quality, and service standards
• Make various types of sushi, sashimi, roll sushi, salad, and combination sushi
• Estimate and plan food portions and food requirements
• Schedule and supervise kitchen staff
• May assist in hiring and recruitment of new staffs
• May clean sushi bar/kitchen and work area
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
• Order ingredients, supplies and equipment as required
• Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures
• Manage kitchen operations

Job requirements:

• Experience: 2~3 years of commercial cooking experience is required.
• Education: Completion of Secondary School is required.
