A leading engineering firm in Cranbrook is seeking a Survey/Geomatics Technologist to join their team. In this role, you will conduct field surveys, provide accurate survey drawings, and work with advanced technologies like drones and LiDAR. McElhanney is currently seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Survey/Geomatics Technologist in Cranbrook. This is a great opportunity for a dedicated individual who is looking to gain hands‑on surveying experience with a multidisciplinary team.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a team of Land Surveyors and Survey Technologists as well as Civil, Geotechnical and Structural Engineers and technologists on a variety of legal, topographic, engineering and construction projects. Within this role, you will primarily provide field services using conventional survey methods but also have the opportunity to work with Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS, a.k.a. drones), LiDAR (statics and mobile, terrestrial and aerial), bathymetric systems, and more, as well as complete office processing and deliverable production.
McElhanney offers competitive compensation ranging from $30–44 per hour, tailored to match individual qualifications.
