Job summary

Lester B. Pearson School Board is seeking casual student supervisors to assist in our lunch program. The role is 1–2 hours per day, with a temporary lay-off during the summer.

You will supervise groups of 20–25 students, ensure rules are followed, and maintain student safety within the school environment during lunch hours.

Qualifications

• Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year of pertinent experience with children
• First aid certificate (minimum eight hours)
• Refresher course (minimum six hours) updating the skills from the first aid course

Nature of the work:

The employee in this class of employment supervises groups of 20-25 students in the school and its buildings during the designated lunch hour to ensure that rules are observed and that students are safe.

Qualifications:

Hold a Secondary School Diploma or a diploma or an attestation of studies recognized as equivalent by the competent authority, and have one (1) year of pertinent experience which demonstrates a passion to work with children

AND

Hold a certificate dated no more than three (3) years attesting to the successful completion of:

1. a standard first aid course of a minimum eight (8)-hour duration;

2. a refresher course of a minimum six (6)-hour duration updating the skills acquired in the course mentioned in subparagraph
