St. Joseph's Health Care London in London, Ontario seeks a Registered Nurse for Surgical Day Care on a temporary part-time basis. The role focuses on perioperative care across preoperative and postoperative phases, within a fast-paced ambulatory unit providing same-day and short-stay services.

Requirements include ORNO registration, CPR, IV skills, and strong teamwork and leadership with excellent communication. Immunization records and OHSA safety adherence are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Valid registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Current CPR certification.
• One year of recent adult acute surgical experience or surgical daycare experience within the last three years.
• Demonstrated IV skills within the past two years.
• Knowledge of OHSA safety culture and ability to supervise.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Demonstrated decision making, critical thinking and clinical problem solving.
• Self-directed with leadership abilities.

Responsabilités

• Provide perioperative patient care in the preoperative and postoperative phases of the patient’s surgical experience.
• Support the ambulatory surgical day care unit with workflow and patient care activities.
