SURGICAL COORDINATOR (INTRAOCULAR PROCEDURES)

Your tasks at a glance
  • You answer questions from surgeons and patients regarding intraocular procedures.
  • You maintain tracking sheets and monthly statistical reports.
  • You receive and process approval of cataract surgery by medical directors.
  • You identify and solve problems as they arise.
  • You plan, organize, and schedule patients for surgery days.
  • You are comfortable standing for long periods of time.
  • You are detail-oriented and work with precision and accuracy.
  • You will be cross-trained for the Surgical Assistant position (once you have completed your initial training).
  • You support the organization’s Risk Management program by identifying and promptly reporting patient safety concerns, incidents, or potential risks to clinic management, to assist in the organization’s overall efforts to identify, report, and mitigate risks.

Schedule: You have flexible availability Monday - Friday (8:00am - 4:00pm) & occasional Saturdays.

Required:
  • You can travel for work/training between our three LASIK MD clinics in the region: Ottawa, Ottawa West & Gatineau.
  • You have excellent communication skills, you speak English et français également (advanced intermediate level of French required due to the nature of the tasks or interactions with our French-speaking patients).
