A regional health authority in Canada is looking for an experienced Surgical Care Nurse to provide and coordinate care for patients undergoing surgery. The ideal candidate has a Registered Nurse qualification with recent experience in surgical care and excellent organizational skills. This role requires working as part of a multidisciplinary health care team to ensure patient safety and care excellence.

Working as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, the Surgical Care Nurse functions as an experienced self-directed surgical care nurse by assessing, planning, providing, and evaluating nursing care for assigned patients.
Provide and coordinate nursing care for patients undergoing surgical care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in collaboration with the health care team.
Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant; and
Post-basic education in surgical/ambulatory care nursing on a unit specific basis; or
An equivalent combination of education and training.
Up to two (2) years recent, related experience on a unit specific basis.
