A regional health authority in Nanaimo is seeking a Surgical Care Nurse to join their multidisciplinary healthcare team. The role requires assessing, planning, providing, and evaluating nursing care for assigned patients. Candidates must be a registered nurse with relevant post-basic education and have up to two years of recent experience in a surgical or ambulatory care setting. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Working as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, the Surgical Care Nurse functions as an experienced self-directed surgical care nurse by assessing, planning, providing, and evaluating nursing care for assigned patients.
Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant; and
Post-basic education in surgical/ambulatory care nursing on a unit specific basis; or
An equivalent combination of education and training.
Up to two (2) years recent, related experience on a unit specific basis.
