Job summary

A leading support services agency in Toronto is looking for a Support Worker 1 to enhance the capacity of individuals living with intellectual disabilities. The role includes providing personal care, supporting life-skills training, and assisting with day-to-day needs. A high-school diploma and knowledge of healthcare procedures are essential, along with 6 months of relevant experience. This position offers 37.5 hours of work per week and requires a valid driver’s license as an asset.

Qualifications

  • 6 months of related work experience required.
  • Knowledge of mechanical equipment like wheelchairs and lifts necessary.
  • Successful completion of internal training is required.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out duties related to services and supports.
  • Support assessment of day-to-day needs of individuals.
  • Provide personal and physical care including medication administration.
