We have full and part time positions available. Part time annual salary £13,497.12 up to £14,250.60 (based on 21 hours per week). Full time annual salary £26,994.24 up to £28,501.20 (based on 42 hours per week)

Responsibilities and Opportunities

We are looking for Support Workers on either a full or part time basis to work across the established CQC rated Outstanding Cambian Shap Road and our new provision, soon to open within the local area.

  • Successful applicants will be rewarded with the completion of a Care Certificate (Level 2) and a Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care. Full training for career and personal development will also be provided.

Shap Road and our new provision are registered care homes providing care and support for up to 4 individuals in each home, aged 18 to 65, with autism, learning difficulties, and complex health needs. They operate with an Outstanding CQC judgment. Cambian Shap Road is located in Kendal and aims to support adults with learning disabilities and autistic spectrum challenges.

The successful candidates will work between Shap Road and the new service, supporting a group of adults who are happy and safe and who show respect and kindness toward each other. The life skills, support and care provided make a positive difference to their lives and to their families.

If you have the skills and experience to support our young adults with their care and social needs, complete activities, or help them become as independent as possible, this is the place for you. Bring your knowledge and ideas to our team to enrich residents’ lives and further improve confidence and resilience.

You will be part of a large supportive care team who work holistically across Care, Therapeutic & Clinical services supporting each other’s practice to deliver specialist residential services to those with additional and complex needs, including Autism, severe learning disabilities and complex health needs.
