A community support organization in Metro Vancouver is seeking a Support Attendant to supervise clients and ensure safety within their facilities. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, security experience, and various certifications including First Aid/CPR. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage challenging situations. The compensation range is $28.32 to $28.70 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Shifts: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, 4:00 pm to 12:00 midnight, 12:00 midnight to 8:00 am
Shifts are 8.0 hours of paid time
The Support Attendant is responsible for the supervision of clients/property through regular rounds of inspection.
The successful job applicant will have completed high school plus specialized courses of up to six (6) months.
One year of prior related experience, including security experience.
The performance of the job requires continuously performing walkabouts, and occasionally keyboarding and lifting/packing clients’ belongings.
The performance of the job requires continuously monitoring the environment, interacting with clients, and occasionally recording information and monitoring security cameras.
The incumbent is involved in minor financial matters regularly, or on a relief basis, or has responsibility for the wise use of his/her own resources. He/She may be authorized to spend, disburse, or collect small amounts of cash. The incumbent has very little input into the annual budget.
The incumbent is responsible for his/her own time and effort only. He/She may demonstrate work methods to new employees.
The incumbent’s work environment is typically in a shelter and/or in treatment facilities/grounds. The incumbent will work under the following disagreeable conditions:

The target hiring range for this position is $28.32 to $28.70 with a maximum of $29.07. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
