Job summary

Deep Trekker Inc. is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to own the flow of material from vendors to production, leading the warehouse and logistics team and partnering with Engineering on supplier qualification.

You will develop processes to make the supply chain more resilient and drive continuous improvement across end‑to‑end operations. This role requires a hands‑on, problem‑solving leader who can set priorities, coach teams, and implement robust inventory and MRP/ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in supply chain management, including inventory strategy, warehouse operations, and MRP/ERP systems.
• Strong problem solving and hands‑on leadership skills.
• High learning agility and ability to apply new knowledge under pressure.
• Experience with international shipping compliance (export controls, dangerous goods, sanctions) is a strong asset.

We are growing quickly and are looking for a Supply Chain Manager to strengthen and modernize our supply chain — owning inventory, warehouse, and logistics operations while partnering closely with Engineering on new suppliers. This is an opportunity to combine sharp problem‑solving with hands‑on leadership in a fast‑paced, product‑driven environment.

The Opportunity

As Supply Chain Manager, you will own the flow of material through the business — from vendor, to warehouse, to production — ensuring we have the right material, in the right place, at the right time. You will lead our warehouse and logistics team, partner with Engineering to qualify new suppliers, and build the processes and systems that make our supply chain more resilient. We're looking for someone who thinks through problems methodically, learns quickly, and isn't afraid to get hands‑on to get something solved rather than just delegating it.

What You Will Do

Lead and develop the team

• Lead the warehouse and logistics team for stocking purposes
• Set direction and priorities for the Logistics Manager, and coach them to lead their team effectively
• Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and hands‑on problem solving
• Create operational KPIs that develop over time to meaningfully improve warehouse operations

Drive supply chain strategy and continuous improvement

• Identify and drive improvements to end‑to‑end supply chain processes, tools, and ways of working
• Lead demand planning and purchase forecasting based on sales forecasts
• Develop and maintain inventory strategy to optimize stock holding while protecting availability
• Implement and continuously improve MRP/ERP processes

Manage warehouse and inventory operations

• Oversee internal material flow and warehouse organization, including kanban systems
• Manage inventory accuracy, stock counts, and transaction processes
• Own shortage identification, escalation, and resolution, including full ownership of the SQDIP short‑parts list and proactive follow‑up to keep vendors to committed lead times
• Partner with Engineering to select and verify new and alternative suppliers, including for Gen 4 and local‑sourcing initiatives
• Support the supply chain for engineering prototyping and new product introduction
• Manage obsolete parts and end‑of‑life planning for components nearing single‑source or discontinuation risk

Own logistics and compliance

• Own outbound goods flow and logistics strategy, including global shipping and import/export coordination; the Logistics Manager reports into this role for day‑to‑day execution
• Oversee high health and safety risk material and parts handling

What You Bring

• Strong problem‑solving skills — a track record of working through ambiguous or unfamiliar issues methodically, rather than jumping to the first available fix
• A hands‑on, get‑it‑done attitude: comfortable rolling up your sleeves to solve a problem directly rather than only delegating it
• High learning agility — able to quickly pick up new systems, processes, and product knowledge and apply them under pressure
• Proven experience in supply chain management, including inventory strategy, warehouse operations, and MRP/ERP systems
• Leadership or team management experience, ideally leading logistics or warehouse staff directly or through a direct report
• Experience with international shipping compliance (export control, dangerous goods, sanctions) is a strong asset
• Track record of driving process improvement and leading cross‑functional initiatives with Engineering and Operations
• Strong communication skills, comfortable working across Engineering, Operations, and Sales
