Key Roles and Responsibilities
  • Supply Chain Strategy & Planning
    • Develop and implement end-to-end supply chain strategies aligned with company goals, focusing on cost efficiency, lead-time reduction, and sustainability.
    • Collaborate with engineering, production, and project management teams to forecast demand and plan materials accordingly.
    • Manage supply chain risks by developing contingency plans and maintaining reliable supplier networks.
  • Procurement & Vendor Management
    • Source and evaluate suppliers for raw materials, components, and engineering services.
    • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve optimal cost and quality balance.
    • Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and performance standards.
    • Conduct supplier audits and performance reviews to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Inventory & Logistics Management
    • Oversee inventory levels to ensure material availability while minimizing holding costs.
    • Optimize logistics and transportation strategies for inbound and outbound materials.
    • Ensure timely delivery of parts, tools, and equipment to support engineering and production schedules.
    • Implement systems for efficient warehouse management and materials tracking.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with design and engineering teams to understand technical requirements and ensure sourcing alignment.
    • Support new product introductions (NPI) by managing early supplier engagement and prototyping material supply.
    • Partner with finance to manage budgets, track expenditures, and analyze cost savings.
  • Compliance & Sustainability
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical sourcing standards.
    • Promote sustainability initiatives in procurement and logistics operations.
    • Manage import/export compliance and documentation for global sourcing activities.
  • Process Improvement & Systems
    • Drive process optimization through Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
    • Analyze supply chain data to identify inefficiencies and implement corrective actions.
Skills / Experience Requirement
  • Educational Background
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management & Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
    • Advanced certifications in project management or engineering leadership are a plus.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering roles, supply chain, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management position.
    • Proven experience in leading engineering teams and managing complex projects from concept to production.
    • Strong understanding of technical products, engineering workflows, or industrial services.
    • Experience with quality control, supply chain management, and process improvement (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
