Key Responsibilities
  • Negotiate and manage transportation contracts, including freight rates, service levels, and terms for domestic and international carriers.
  • Source and onboard logistics providers, ensuring alignment with operational needs and compliance standards.
  • Monitor carrier performance and resolve service issues related to delivery delays, damages, or non‑compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., operations, finance, legal) to ensure contracts meet business requirements and risk management standards.
  • Support strategic sourcing initiatives for transportation and logistics services, including RFQs and bid evaluations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of contracts, rate agreements, and service level commitments.
  • Analyze freight spend and logistics data to identify cost‑saving opportunities and improve efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with trade regulations, customs requirements, and company policies related to transportation and logistics.
How to thrive in this role?
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • You have minimum of 3–5 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or procurement, with a strong emphasis on commercial and contractual responsibilities.
  • You have demonstrated experience negotiating transportation contracts and managing carrier or third‑party logistics provider relationships.
  • You have a solid understanding of freight markets, transportation modes (road, rail, air, ocean), and logistics operations.
  • You have familiarity with customs regulations, trade compliance, and international shipping documentation.
  • You have strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret logistics data and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
  • You have proficiency in ERP systems and transportation management software (e.g., SAP, TMS platforms).
  • You have excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • You are detail‑oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • You have strong analytical skills, business acumen, and a solid understanding of contractual frameworks.
  • You are a team player, adaptable and able to forge strong working relationships.
  • You are bilingual (French and English)
