Job summary

A healthcare organization in Winnipeg is seeking a Supply Attendant to check, pick up, and stock supplies in patient care areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining supply areas, recording issued supplies, and ensuring cleanliness. Candidates should have at least a Grade 12 education or equivalent and the ability to communicate effectively in English. The position is part-time (0.40 FTE) and requires working days and weekends in person.

Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Position Overview

Under the general supervision of the Supervisor, Warehouse & Distribution, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the Supply Attendant is responsible for checking, picking up, and stocking all supplies in patient care areas against established quotas; recording and charging out supplies issued; cleaning carts; shelving; and performing other related duties as assigned.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Grade 12 or recognized equivalent.
Qualifications And Skills
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to walk/stand throughout the entire shift.
  • Ability to move and manipulate full supply carts.
  • Ability to lift moderately heavy objects.
