Job summary

You will apply specialized expertise in quality assurance across electronics, mechanics and avionics, coordinating testing and supplier audits while ensuring compliance with procedures and industry standards. The role requires a college degree in mechanics or a related field and a minimum of three years as a technician, including two years in quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, control and perform testing and verification of materials/components.
• Decide the acceptability of products, materials and the work performance in reference to procedures and quality standards.
• Coordinate investigations on quality problems and recommend technical solutions.
• Generate Corrective Action Requests on appropriate forms.
• Organize Material Review Board meetings and coordinate corrective actions for non-conformances.
• Visit suppliers for process and product audits to improve their performance.
• Write or modify quality assurance procedures, work instructions and standards.
• Perform quality audits.
• Participate in the selection of sampling plans for inspection and testing.

Applies his/her specialized expertise in quality assurance, including one of the following fields: electronics, mechanics, avionics or other relevant specialized fields. His/her occasional contacts with external customers require an ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Works using detailed specifications (drawings, standards, procedures, work instructions, etc.) related to the area where he/she is assigned.
