Position Details
- Pay: $65,000 - $75,000
- Hours/Schedule: Monday to Friday, 3:30AM Shift Start

Position Purpose
As a Transportation Supervisor, you will support all functions of the Transportation Department, with a focus on day to day driver management. Specifically, you will contribute to the management of drivers, routes, deliveries, maintenance, security and safety, and other transportation-related functions to create direct contributions to the division and to customers' experiences. A successful candidate will have effectively demonstrated an ability to continuously build better processes, manage daily operations, and instill a culture of innovation.
Primary Responsibilities
- Ensuring application of safety, accident-prevention standards, methods, and procedures.
- Drive Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) such as on-time delivery, driver case scan percentage, and accident frequency.
- Take feedback from drivers to improve our customers' delivery experience.
- Assist managers with overall day-to-day administration of transportation and delivery functions, which may include calculating driver payroll, reviewing driver trip logs and expense reports, and identifying and resolving problems.
- Ensure drivers fulfill duties safely by monitoring vehicle safety and safety systems (Samsara), safe usage of ramps and handcarts, and safe lifting and product-handling practices.
- Leading and conducting performance management conversations to foster departmental growth of personnel.
- Rides with drivers for training and/or evaluation purposes.
- Completing paperwork such as: evaluations, accident/injury logs, HOS logs, and other reports and records.
- Collecting and analyzing data to evaluate department and individual performance.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions
- Physical ability to handle objects, tools, and/or controls.
- Physical ability to lift, unload, and carry totes and bundles up to 30lbs repetitively and up to 60lbs occasionally, push up to 50lbs, and move a dolly loaded with up to 250lbs.
- Physical ability to stand for a significant period of time and walk continuously on occasion.
- Physical ability to occasionally bend, kneel, or reach may be required on occasion.
- Exposure to a variety of environmental conditions: weather, temperature, lighting, and noise.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a Class 1 driver's license.
- Minimum of 2 years of logistics supervisory experience.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree.
- Ability to manage routing and distribution, and logistic computer software.
- Ability to analyze and critically evaluate situations.
- Ability to effectively communicate.
Preferred Qualifications
- Food service/distribution experience is considered an asset.
- Multi-temp delivery/return logistics experience is considered an asset.
- Systems experience is considered an asset (Samsara, Omnitracs, Power BI).
- Experience in a unionized work environment is considered an asset.
