Job Details
The Shift Supervisor ensures an excellent experience for guests by coordinating the team to exceed expectations on every visit. The role leads the team in caring for guests first, delighting them with friendly and caring service that creates loyalty to the restaurant. The Shift Supervisor also ensures the team contributes to achieving A&W operating standards and financial results on the shift.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and lead the team to deliver outstanding guest service on every visit.
- Mentor and support staff to prepare food to perfect recipe standards.
- Implement new innovations from A&W and drive continuous improvement.
- Maintain operating and safety standards, including proper handling of hot products, cleaning chemicals, and sharp objects.
- Execute inventory tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs. and managing product supplies.
- Work effectively in a fast‑paced environment and support team cohesion.
Qualifications & Skills
- Exceptional guest‑service skills and a proven ability to rally a team.
- Experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a fast‑food or retail environment.
- Strong communication, multitasking, and interpersonal skills.
- Basic math skills and ability to work with hot equipment and cleaning chemicals.
- Capacity to handle stressful situations and maintain mental alertness.
- Valid Canadian work authorization.
Working Conditions
- Extended standing (up to 8 hours) and occasional heavy lifting.
- Fast‑paced and noisy restaurant environment.
- Use of knives, slicers, and cleaning chemicals.
- Shift work with flexible schedule possible.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly wage: $15.00 to $34.00 per hour.
