Job summary

Kicking Horse Coffee in Invermere, BC is seeking a production supervisor to oversee the day‑to‑day operations of a production area, ensuring people, processes and equipment are set up for success and production stays on schedule.

You will coach and develop the team, drive continuous improvement, and uphold quality, food safety and health & safety standards while coordinating with maintenance, quality, warehousing and planning to keep lines running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in manufacturing or food production.
• Strong people leadership and coaching skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety, quality systems and CI.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause thinking.
• Experience with MS Office and data reporting.
• Data analysis to drive improvements.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Leading people. Solving problems. Making kick ass coffee happen. That’s what this role is all about. You’ll oversee the day‑to‑day operations of a production area, ensuring people, processes, and equipment are set up for success. You’ll be responsible for keeping production on schedule, supporting your team, driving continuous improvement and ensuring quality, food safety, and health and safety standards are consistently met.

• Lead daily production operations and coordinate people, resources and workflow to achieve production targets.
• Coach, develop, and support team members through onboarding, training, performance conversations and regular feedback.
• Assign work, monitor progress, remove obstacles and ensure shifts run safety and efficiently.
• Champion quality, food safety, and health and safety programs while supporting corrective actions and continuous improvement efforts.
• Monitor production performance, review KPIs, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, quality and reliability.
• Partner with maintenance, quality, warehousing, planning and other teams to keep production running smoothly and on schedule.
• Lead continuous improvement activities including Kaizen, 5S, Gemba walks, and problem-solving initiatives.
• Manage attendance, support scheduling adjustments, and ensure adequate staffing to meet operational demands.
• Support production reporting, data accuracy, administrative processes, and operational communications.
• Build genuine relationships with team members and foster an environment of accountability, respect, collaboration and growth.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Previous supervisory experience in manufacturing, food production, operations, or a similar environment.
• Strong people leadership skills with experience coaching, developing, and motivating teams.
• Working knowledge of health and safety, food safety, quality systems and continuous improvement principles.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work and adapt to operational demands.
• Strong problem-solving and decision‑making abilities with a focus on root‑cause thinking.
• Experience using MS Office and operational systems to manage data, reporting and communication.
• Ability to analyze data and use insights to improve results.
• Clear, direct communication skills and a collaborative approach to leadership.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25‑50 lbs (with help from the team), lifting, pushing, twisting and bending on a manufacturing line, up to 8 hours per shift.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada.

THE DETAILS

• This is an on‑site position located in Invermere, BC.
• This is a full‑time, permanent position within our Production team.
• Supervisors may support day, evening, overnight, or weekend operations depending on business requirements.
• The salary range for this position is $69,500 to $75,000 annually.
