This role supports strategic procurement activities that impact major capital projects and ongoing industrial operations. With a focus on value optimization and risk management, the role plays a key part in driving supplier performance, managing contracts, and ensuring alignment with broader materials management and corporate goals.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead complex sourcing strategies, including RFx processes, to secure high-value suppliers
  • Identify procurement risks and develop mitigation strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders
  • Support contract development and commercial negotiations, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Assist in managing capital equipment and fleet procurement to maximize long-term value
  • Contribute to budgeting, cost control, and reporting initiatives within the procurement function
  • Collaborate on inventory and materials management strategies across departments
  • Create and track KPIs to improve procurement and supply chain performance
  • Participate in department-wide initiatives and support ad hoc projects as required
Requirements
  • 10+ years of progressive procurement experience in a heavy industrial environment
  • Supply Chain or Materials Management designation, plus a diploma in Business, Engineering, or Finance (or equivalent)
  • Strong contract negotiation and administration skills
  • Proven experience with capital project procurement and major equipment sourcing
  • Familiarity with inventory control and fleet management best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement abilities
Remuneration
  • $150k base salary
