Qualifications

  • 2 to 5 years production supervisor experience in a manufacturing plant.
  • Strong experience working with automated systems or conveyors.
  • Sound understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Mechanical background.
  • Good people development and training skills.
  • Strong experience with MS Office products.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure efficient manufacturing of quality products.
  • Participate in daily schedule planning calls.
  • Complete daily Environmental checklists.
  • Manage workforce within the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Conduct quarterly performance reviews.
  • Attend Tier 1 and Tier 2 meetings on time.

Overview

We are looking for a talented and experienced Production Supervisor to join our Grodan team in Milton, ON. In this role you will be responsible for the overall safety and effectiveness of your respective shift and communication and collaboration within the production department to secure optimum output from the production unit.

Your future team

You will become part of the production team managing a team of 15-30 people and reporting to the Production Manager.

What you will be doing
  • Ensure the manufacturing of quality product as efficient as possible, in accordance with the production plan and schedule.
  • Participate in the daily schedule planning call and ensure all relevant information is passed on during shift change.
  • Ensure Environmental compliance by completing the daily Environmental checklists as required.
  • Manage the workforce within the context of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Conduct performance reviews quarterly as required.
  • Ensure Tier 1 and Tier 2 meetings are attended on time providing accurate and up to date information to drive the business forward.
What you bring
  • 2 to 5 years production supervisor experience, preferably in a manufacturing plant.
  • Strong experience working with automated systems/conveyors.
  • Sound understanding or Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Mechanical background
  • Good people development and training skills.
  • Strong experience with MS Office products, such as Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word, and SAP.
