Your Next Challenge

Reporting to the IT-OT General Supervisor, you will be part of the Information Technology and Business Intelligence Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

  • Supervise the IT team and oversee IT activities;
  • Act as a resource person for your team;
  • Demonstrate a high level of technical expertise by actively participating in the implementation of IT/OT solutions;
  • May be required to work directly on technical projects at Nunavut mining sites, providing hands‑on support and expertise as needed;
  • Propose and manage technical improvement solutions for the department;
  • Maintain proper documentation and procedures;
  • Manage employee schedules;
  • Responsible for the health and safety of your employees;
  • Give orientation for the department;
  • Manage and coordinate IT/OT projects along with the OT Supervisors and Automation Engineers;
  • Advise his supervisor on appropriate action and decision;
  • Put in place strategies and policies for the team;
  • Perform employee evaluations;
  • Follow‑up on KPIs with your team;
  • Promote the vision and mission of the department;
  • Support the Automation and Innovation Department activities and project in concert with the IT-OT General Supervisors.
What You Need to Succeed
  • College Diploma in a related field or equivalent experience;
  • Seven (7) years of experience in an Information Technology role;
  • Three (3) years of experience in a similar role;
  • Understanding of work in the mining industry;
  • Experience with change management;
  • Excellent knowledge of IT and OT concepts and technology.

Note that the official working language at our Nunavut operations is English.

Your Work Schedule

Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. A combination of tele‑working with presence at our offices (3 days per week in office) in either Val‑d’Or, or Mirabel, QC.

Occasional visits to the mine sites are required.
