Job summary

Aecon Concessions is seeking a Field Supervisor based in Edmonton, AB to lead a team of Field Technicians delivering telecommunications infrastructure installations. You’ll monitor performance, coach on quality work, and ensure safety across projects.

The role requires travel to surrounding areas with strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. Training and development opportunities are provided within a values-driven, inclusive culture.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and lead field performance to meet or exceed installation and service benchmarks.
  • Execute quality inspections and coach technicians on installations.
  • Ensure the health & safety of themselves, their team and customers.
  • Ensure all technicians follow safety policies.
  • Present training courses on new processes to the team.
  • Act as liaison between Field Technicians, Operations Support, and customers.
  • Conduct field visits with technicians as required.
  • Complete Health & Safety, Quality Assurance and Vehicle Maintenance documentation.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are inspected regularly and kept in good condition.
  • Assist Field Manager with customer issues and resolutions.
  • Foster an inclusive culture and belonging.
  • Other duties as may be required.

Aecon Technical Solutions Inc. employs highly skilled technicians to perform telecommunications infrastructure installations. Whether in a residential, commercial, institutional, or hospitality environment, ATSI is able to assist clients with their telecommunications installation needs.

Reporting to the Field Manager, the Field Supervisor will responsible for the management of a team of Field Technicians. The Field Supervisor is also responsible for monitoring and managing telecommunication installation activities. The successful candidate must be able to train new team members on material provided and existing team members on updates to processes and procedures in their region. This position is based in Edmonton, Alberta, with the expectation of travel to surrounding areas, and travel to Calgary 1-3 times per month.

What You'll Do Here:
  • Monitor and lead all field performance requirements to meet or exceed established Installation and Service benchmarks.
  • Execute quality of work inspections and coach technicians on quality installations.
  • Ensure the Health & Safety of themselves, their team and all customers in an environmentally friendly manner.
  • Ensure all Technicians comply with uniform and safety policies.
  • Present training courses to new employees or new process updates to the team.
  • Act as the liaison between Field Technicians, Operations Support, and end users of customers of a contractual obligation.
  • Conduct field visits with technicians as required.
  • Complete all required documentation for Health and Safety, Quality Assurance and Vehicle Maintenance purposes.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are inspected on a regular basis and are kept in good working condition.
  • Assist Field Manager with customer issues, inquiries and resolution.
  • Drive an inclusive culture to promote equity, welcome different perspectives, and enable career progression by fostering a sense of belonging.
  • Other duties as may be required.
What You Bring to the Team:
  • Excellent Customer Service skills, both internally and externally.
  • Technically inclined with a desire to learn.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Installation, troubleshooting, and repair experience with TV, Internet, phone, and fibre services is considered an asset, but is not required.
  • Experience in in-home sales, particularly within TV, Internet, or home security services, is an asset but not essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel and Word).
  • An inclusive mindset and a commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and belonging in the workplace.
  • Must be willing to travel as required and provide a clear driver’s abstract on an annual basis.

Individual pay is determined based on several factors such as work location, education, experience and unique skills.
