As Supervisor, Capital Assets, you will manage a team responsible for the accuracy and completeness of Capital Assets transactions and reporting deliverables. You will drive process optimization, support stakeholder requirements, and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards. Collaboration across departments and continuous improvement are central to this role.

What You Do
  • Plan and monitor resource assignments to ensure accurate Capital Assets transactions and reporting deliverables.
  • Supervise and support the Capital Project Accounting Team during month-end close activities (e.g., unitizations, project allocations and accruals).
  • Analyze financial information and review reports for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Lead enhancements of the Project Accounting subledger and support system conversions (e.g., Oracle R12 to Oracle Cloud).
  • Maintain adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley and internal control requirements.
  • Actively support the business with complex accounting matters, special projects and initiatives.
Who You Are
  • You hold a related university degree and/or professional designation.
  • Bring 10+ years of directly related experience in accounting and capital assets with 2 years leadership experience. A combination of education and experience would be considered.
  • Demonstrate deep understanding of accounting principles, systems, and processes.
  • Proactive in anticipating and mitigating problems; skilled in independent judgment and issue resolution.
  • Possess persuasive, clear written and verbal communication skills, and outstanding interpersonal abilities.
  • Excel at mentoring, developing, and evaluating team members, assigning tasks based on skills and roles.

CPA or working towards a designation preferred but not required.
