Job summary

The Birch Centre for Learning and Development Inc. is seeking a Supervised Senior Therapist to join a dynamic team.

You will work directly with clients ages 2–17 who have autism spectrum disorders and related needs, while providing supervision and developing treatment plans in collaboration with families and the clinical team. This part-time, fixed-term position offers CAD 28–33 per hour, with 15–25 hours per week on-site and parking.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have BCBA/RBA certification or be in progress to obtain it.
• Minimum 2–5 years of ABA service delivery experience.
• Ability to work independently and lead a team.
• Experience supervising ABA/IBI programs and implementing ABA strategies.

• Facilitate ABLLS-R, AFLS, VBMAPP, FBA assessments.
• Monitor progress and modify programs as needed.
• Assist in writing Individualized Service Plans and behaviour reduction plans.
• Weekly communication with clinical teams and families.
• Collaborate with families and professionals; strong written and oral communication.
• Apply principles of ABA and facilitate intake process.

Job description

The Birch Centre for Learning and Development Inc. is looking for a fun, engaging and dynamic team player to join our growing team as a Supervised Senior Therapist!

Responsibilities

• Direct 1:1 work with clients ages 2-17 with Autism Spectrum Disorder, unique learning needs and/or developmental delays.
• Provide clinical supervision and develop treatment plans for all clients, facilitate and conduct assessments and reviews of assigned clients; communicate regularly with parents; providing staff or caregiver training, feedback, and support as needed.
• Facilitate assessments (ABLLS-R, AFLS, VBMAPP, FBA) for learners diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder
• Monitor client progress and modify programs as needed
• Assist in writing Individualized Service Plans and behaviour reduction plans as needed
• Weekly communication with members of the client’s clinical team and families.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to collaborate with families, team members and other professionals
• A strong understanding of the Principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis
• Facilitating the Intake process

Skills and Qualifications

• The successful candidate will have completed, or be in the process of completing requirements to obtain and retain BCBA/RBA certification.
• A minimum of two to five years of experience in the delivery of ABA services
• Ability to work independently, take initiative and to lead a team
• One or more years of experience with the clinical supervision of ABA/IBI programs. Applicants must have strong knowledge and experience in the following; ABA teaching strategies, curriculum-based assessments, preference assessments, functional assessments and individualized behaviour reduction programs.

Job Types: Part-time, fixed term contract

Pay: $28.00-$33.00 per hour
