In this hands-on learning environment, students will have the opportunity to develop leadership skills, build lifelong relationships and reach their full potential.

Successful completion of the yearly summer program would pave the way for you to obtain a scholarship from HUB to a post-secondary institution of your choice.

What You’ll Learn And What You’ll Do

Our Summer Mentorship Program will introduce you to the world of insurance and will actively engage you in a variety of tasks/projects while developing and exercising the fundamental skills of leadership:

  • Communication, Self-expression & Self-regulation
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking
  • Organizational skills, Collaboration/teamwork, Conflict resolution & Project planning
  • Time management

About

You’ll also have an opportunity to learn about HUB’s business guided by supportive staff and your assigned Mentor including:

  • Digital literacy (basic computer programs & industry-specific programs)
  • Types of insurance we provide with a focus on our Commercial, Personal, or Employee Benefits line of business
  • Insurance carriers with whom we partner
  • Basic laws/regulations governing our business and how we ensure compliance
  • How we set and execute individual client strategies
  • The HUB Sales Process (includes prospecting approaches, needs identification, proposals, and stewardship)
