Summary

Bell is currently seeking to fill an M&A Summer analyst (starting May 2026) within BCEs Corporate Strategy and M&A team. The position is for a period of 3-4 months at either the Toronto or Montreal office.

The Corporate Strategy and M&A team supports a combination of BCEs corporate strategy corporate partnerships and ventures teams. The team provides high quality financial and strategic advice to senior management and officers of BCE and its subsidiaries with the ultimate objective of enhancing shareholder value.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing financial modeling (Operating Financing DCF Merger LBO etc.) support to Directors Senior Managers and Analysts within the team on a wide range of projects
  • In conjunction with the teams Analysts supporting valuation analysis including comparable company and precedent transaction analysis
  • Conducting industry research to understand economic and technological trends underlying potential investment opportunities
  • Preparing clear precise presentations and analyses for BCE senior management
  • Coordinating with members of the Bell operating units to obtain underlying business metrics assumptions and raw data
  • Participating in the coordination of due diligence processes
  • Perform market analysis and build comprehensive deal screens on prospective portfolio companies for Bell Venture
Critical Qualifications
  • Strong accounting finance and economics skills as evidenced by strong academic performance
  • Strong and well-developed analytical skills along with an ability to make well-reasoned and appropriate conclusions
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer skills particularly with respect to Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to handle several projects simultaneously
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently
  • Flexibility to work additional hours when the need arises
  • Knowledge of the telecommunications industry and its players in Canada and internationally would be an asset
  • Knowledge of Venture Capital and Canadian M&A activity is considered an asset
  • Fluency in French is an asset
  • Entering their final year

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
