WSP is seeking a Plant and Process Engineering BIM Subject Matter Expert to guide BIM layout leads, coordinators and engineering leads in scalable templates, workflows and automation across complex projects.

The Opportunity
The Plant and Process Engineering BIM Subject Matter Expert is responsible for working with and guiding the BIM Layout Leads, BIM Coordinators and Engineering Lead in the development and deployment of BIM-enabled design templates, procedures, and workflows that are scalable to meet program needs. BIM Subject Matter Experts provide industry experience and expertise to propose and develop automations and integrations that seek to streamline and integrate BIM design production while meeting the program’s BIM requirements.

Oversee and advice on automation practices
Advice on Best Practices for BIM design and Modelling
Ensure compliance to ethics and promote Zero Harm culture in the division
The skills that set you apart
15+ years of hands-on BIM experience across Buildings, Civil, Mining, and Industrial/Plant environments.
Advanced proficiency with Bentley MicroStation and the OpenX ecosystem, including:
OpenPlant
OpenBuildings
OpenRoads
OpenGround
BRCM
Experience with Bentley Infrastructure Cloud solutions, including:
ProjectWise
ITwin
PlantSight
Strong understanding of ISO 19650 standards and Whole-Life-Cycle Digital Twin practices (4D, 5D, and 6D)
Proven experience developing, implementing, and scaling BIM automation and integration solutions
Knowledge of Canadian Nuclear Standards and/or Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) methodologies is considered a strong asset
Ability to translate complex digital delivery requirements into practical, scalable workflows for large-scale projects
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams
