A leading consultancy agency in Canada is seeking a proactive accounting professional to onboard new bookkeeping clients and support them with compliance requirements. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, strong communication skills, and experience in cloud accounting platforms like Xero and QuickBooks Online. This role involves performing bookkeeping duties and guiding junior staff while maintaining client relationships under a hybrid work arrangement.
Collaborate with the Project Team to onboard new bookkeeping clients using emerging cloud accounting technologies such as Xero and QuickBooks Online.
Perform accounting, finance, and administrative duties at client premises when required.
Review bookkeeping work prepared by Junior Accounts Executives and provide coaching and guidance as needed.
Handle bookkeeping (minor), financial statement compilation, corporate tax preparation (major), and GST submissions.
Ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and all relevant regulatory requirements.
Report to the Group Team Lead and be able to work from the Singapore HQ office under a hybrid arrangement.
Build and maintain strong client relationships to enhance business opportunities across the Group.
Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field, or a Professional Accounting Qualification.
Prior hands‑on experience in bookkeeping and payroll is an advantage.
Solid knowledge of current financial reporting standards and Singapore corporate tax regulations is essential.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with both internal teams and external clients.
