About Us

We are a fast growing personal service company with the head office located in Calgary and a second location in Edmonton. At OOYU SKIN & INKJI, a Korean Medical Aesthetics clinic and Permanent Makeup Studio and Academy, we specialize in advanced and personalized treatments rooted in Korean beauty traditions and modern techniques. Our environment is professional, welcoming, and designed for client comfort — making it an ideal space for a Studio Manager to lead a growing team and ensure operational excellence.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly organized Studio Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Edmonton location. You will play a key role in ensuring the clinic runs smoothly, maintaining high standards of client care, studio, and supporting a collaborative and high-performing team. You will have a support system from our marketing and sales team to reach revenue goals, execute marketing initiatives to continue to grow awareness of our brand, budget control, and much more. Since this is a new role, you’ll have the opportunity to actively contribute to how the position develops, taking on new challenges and responsibilities as the studio grows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Main point of contact for all studio related matters from clients, contractors, students, staff, etc.
  • Direct marketing and sales team to ensure alignment with sales objectives and quality standards.
  • Conduct meetings with leadership to structure sales strategies and action plans.
  • Monitor and approve sales and marketing plans.
  • Manage the introduction of new services, pricing updates, and rollout plans, tracking completion by deadlines.
  • Address and offer solutions to client complaints professionally and promptly via text, phone, or in-person.
  • Develop and organize a comprehensive playbook and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the Studio Manager role.
  • Review reports and discover areas of improvement to achieve monthly / quarterly / yearly goals.
  • Deposit cash receipts and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to support promotions, campaigns, and ROI maximization.
  • Develop a system to maximize the efficiency of inventory and supply control.
  • Oversee staff onboarding and training, including initial training for new hires and periodic refreshers.
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality client experiences, monitoring satisfaction, surveys, and online reviews.
  • Coordinate in-clinic and VIP events, workshops, or open houses to promote services and engage clients (as needed).
  • Review and ensure completion of studio checklists and tasks, providing feedback where needed.
  • Monitor consultation sheets and sales performance; support the team to optimize conversion rates.
  • Oversee daily closing reports and cash handling with 100% accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation protocols.
  • Manage staff schedules, including statutory holidays, ensuring smooth clinic operations.
  • Track KPIs and provide insights for operational improvements.
  • Perform 1:1 performance reviews monthly with staff.
  • Train and mentor the next Studio Manager for future locations.
Team Management

You will be leading a dynamic and growing team comprising Client Care Coordinators, Aestheticians, PMU Artists, Nurse Injectionists, Medical Director and Registered Massage Therapists. Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering a collaborative, efficient, and high-performing team environment.
